These articles and links are not here to cause a fight. If you’re a Roman Catholic, my intent is not to offend you. - Why I Am No Longer Roman Catholic – This is an open letter to all my old Catholic friends or any Roman Catholic – whether we’ve met or not. Many of my former classmates have asked me – over the years – why I left the RCC. I composed this letter to answer that question. Let me know what you think.
- Berean Beacon – A former Catholic priest explains why he is no longer Catholic.
- Catholic Concerns – A former Catholic nun explains why she is no longer Catholic.
- Proclaiming the Gospel – A former Catholic explains why he is no longer Catholic and answers many common questions.

- Errors in the Apocrypha – This article clearly demonstrates why the RCC should never have included these books in their version of the Old Testament.
What you & your links are saying or attempting to say isn’t any different then what has been proposed for the past 200 years in one form or another.
It is sad that you were born during a difficult time when the church was allowed it’s teaching and moral leadership to decline especially in the USA.
It seems natural for the individual in this era particularly in this country which places individual license (as oppose to liberty) to chose Sorteriology prior to Eccelesiology in their search for the Truth.
It’s interesting because I just wrote a piece on this the other day on my blog http://quickbeamoffangorn.wordpress.com/2008/01/12/congreg

I am certainly glad that their are protestants concerned for the salvation of Catholics. Many of us in the Catholic church share that same concern for them as well as those in Protestant church.
Given that my wife is a baptist, I understand that pretty well.
Quickbeam…thanks for your comments. However, I don’t think it’s sad at all that I was born when I was. If I had disagreed with the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) at other periods in history, I might have been imprisoned, tortured and killed. I do not exaggerate at all.
But, more to the point. You are certainly true to Rome to say that I “chose Sorteriology (sic) prior to Eccelesiology in their (my) search for the Truth”. You write this because Rome teaches that unless you are a member of the RCC (ecclesiology) you cannot be saved (soteriology). This is completely foreign to Scripture. Scripture does not teach, “Join the church to be saved” but “Be saved and you will automatically become a member of the true Church.” Because the RCC has departed from Biblical soteriology, my ecclesiology is rightly and drastically impacted–I cannot be part of an ecclesiastical body that claims it is the sole source of salvation. especially when they add to what the Scriptures require for salvation.
I invite you to come out of the false system of Rome and embrace the Christ of Scripture.
